Triple Glazed Windows Bristol – Triple Glazing
These 28mm Triple Glazed Windows installed in Bristol were manufactured to match the design of the old wooden box sash windows. As per the customers requirements our installers also took out all the old wood and replaced it with UPVC.
As the wood comes away you can see that it is totally uninsulated so the Warmshield installers filled all the gaps in the stone mullions and the spaces between the new windows with a mixture of Rockwool and expanding foam.
The customer wanted a full UPVC finish because it would require minimum maintenance in the long term. Unlike wood it will never rot or require painting. A wipe with a damp cloth is all it requires to have it looking like new however the internal finishing of products is purely about customer preference, some customers like to keep all the wood, some want it all out and some just want a small trim around the window. It’s purely aesthetic and isn’t something that affects the windows performance. These details are usually finalised with a Warmshield home adviser and/or Surveyor before the installation.
These Triple Glazed Windows in Bristol were installed on a flat overlooking a very busy main road. The customer had some very specific aims, they were; to block out the sound from the main road outside, to improve the energy efficiency of the home so that the heat stays in the home for longer and to have windows which require minimum maintenance internally and externally.
Our customer services department spoke to the customer a few week after the installation to collect feedback on the work and the customers own words were “Wow! You exceeded my every expectation and it looks much better than I had imagined it to look”.
